HAPPY HOMEMAKER & MENU PLAN MONDAY week 19 of 2020

GOOD MORNING Can you believe it’s May already?  I know we lost March and April to the pandemic, but when did May sneak up on us?  And it looks like we’re going to lose it to the pandemic also.  How are you all doing?  Keeping your spirits up?  I pray you are.  Even for the most positive person this is A LOT to ask.  We are usually preparing for our annual family reunion at this time of year (haven’t missed one in 30 years).  I took over the majority of the organization from my niece this last year. But, unfortunately, this year I had to cancel 100 people from doing one of their very favorite things – getting together and spending time loving each other 🙁  The beach campground we just started using last year to have it at has worked with us to extend our reservations into 2021.  Right now they’re only accepting shelter in place RVers.

Oh Sweetie – I’m so sorry about the family reunion. This all just stinks so badly, doesn’t it? We just need to keep the faith, take it one day at a time, and for now adapt to the new normal. I firmly believe this will have an ending to it and life will get somewhat back to normal. As you mentioned to me, having faith and praying each day gives me strength to still find the positive and joy in each day…because I know we’ll all be ok. And I love how you find the beauty in rail art and so many things around you. ❤️
I hope you have a wonderful rest of the week filled with lost of fun moments dear Tamy!

Italian garlic supreme pizza….WHAT?!?!?!? I need that recipe.

I love your rail art pictures, aren’t they just the coolest? Love your quote as well, it’s so true.

Have a blessed week my friend

That quote is great, really spoke to me! I can’t imagine what it must feel like to be in lockdown. We have been lucky here, my state has seen a total of 28 cases, 0 deaths. All 28 cases are travellers who arrived already ill, there has been no community transmission. We have closed our borders, and are limited to 10 people at a gathering, and most workplaces are working from home, or like my son at the library, they are still going to work but are closed to the public. We are homebodies anyway, so very little change for us. My son already studies online, there are no good schooling options here, his entire school life has been online. I feel for those people who are used to going out and being active, it must be very hard for them right now. I hope it is not too much longer until you can be out and about.

We’re in a fairly rural area here, but have to abide by the state rules. Our case numbers locally are similar to yours, but as a state are much higher. I read somewhere today that they are predicting a resurgence of cases with things reopening and that it will affect the more rural areas harder this next time around, so we are being cautious because of my immunodeficiencies and prior cancer, but all in all, I’m confident that things WILL get better 😀

I’m so sorry your family reunion fell victim to the pandemic. On a lighter note, so does your little info graphic mean if I eat my beloved apricot jelly on toast every morning, it would flatten my belly? I may need to return to the store 😉 Hope you have a wonderful week!

QuiltLady

Hmmmm I guess that depends on all what’s in your jam 😀 I’d say the FULL fruit spreads would apply! I hope you have a GREAT week too.

Good morning! Why do your recipes always look so good? Are you reading my mind? I’m all about the Moravian Chicken Pies lately!!

QuiltLady

I’m glad they look appetizing! I must be doing something right. The Moravian pie really did hit the spot on a cold rainy night last week. And I loved the veggie additions with the same amount of chicken – super satisfying! Have a WONDERFUL week.
