SUCCESSFUL RECIPES  FROM LAST WEEK

RECIPE FINDS TO TRY LATER

  • Apple Slaw with caramelized Cider Dressing
  • Spiderweb Florentines
  • Pumpkin Gingerbread ice cream sandwiches

HEALTH & BEAUTY TIPS
Summer is almost here and we’ll be wearing flip flops and going barefoot more and more.  So here is a little recipe for a foot soak that removes the dead skin from your feet.
1/4 cup Listerine
1/4 cup vinegar
1/2 cup warm water

  • Soak feet 10 minutes.
  • Rinse and dry.  Dead skin will just fall off.

HOMEMAKING TIP
Have strong odors on your hands from onions, garlic or fish?

  • Wet your hands.
  • Sprinkle on baking soda.
  • Rub together until hands are coated in the paste.
  • Rinse well and odors will be gone.

ON MY MIND
Just trying to understand why someone does not return phone calls, repeatedly.  I’ve called several times over the past few months, but they go unanswered and un-returned.  Obviously they are miffed about some unknown, but about what, who knows?  I wish things were different because I do miss our chats, but I can’t fix what I don’t know is broken.  Since I don’t know what I did, I figure they’ll call eventually.

THINGS THAT MAKE ME HAPPY

  • Sunny Skies
  • Hubby getting the sling off this week
  • A clean house

I have found baking soda is great for all sorts of things. I also pick up a large box every other month or so and sprinkle it in the carpet throughout the house a day or so before I'm going to do a deep clean. It really helps freshen it up.

Carrie you picked my 2 favorite from this week's menu and yes there is lots of pineapple in the tacos!

LOL this clown was just plain fun and really stole the show at times.

Have a great week – Happy Memorial day!

Hi Tamy!
I always look so forward to see your menu each week! I'm intrigued by stacked enchiladas and hawaiian tacos for this one. I'm hoping the tacos have pineapple in some way – I bet my hubby would love something like that…so will need to check that out!

I love our photo too (even tho clowns scare me a bit Lol), but I LOVE that quote!! SO TRUE!
Happy Memorial Monday to you. xoxo
