Ulrike of Küchenlatein is hosting this week and she chose Grandma’s All-Occasion Sugar Cookies on pages 146-147. This was a great choice for this week and I decided to use traditional cookie cutters. The recipe is EXTREMELY close to my own grandma’s recipe that I modified years ago to include 1/2 teaspoon orange peel,1/2 teaspoon blackberry extract and only 1/2 teaspoon vanilla. Hubby tried to eat them as fast as they came out of the oven, but he helped decorate them first.
MMMMM YUMMY!
Merry Christmas!
Yummy!! 🙂
These look wonderful! This is my first time at your site and I’m really enjoying it!
Those look so pretty!
Blackberry Extract!? Where do you find such a thing?!?? They look gorgeous!
Blackberry extract and orange peel? Yum! Great job on the cookies!
Blackberry extract? Well, that sounds tasty. Your cookies look so cute on the tray!
Nice job! They look tasty.
You don’t KNOW how much I love those Christmas cookies. My sister makes them, and I haven’t had them in several years. 🙂
Well, for someone who thinks their not master of royal icing, it seems you did a pretty darn good job on those! I especially like the ones for which you used both colours of sprinkles! Very nice job!
