Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would participate and take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

We’ve had a houseful for the holidays and a bit of cabin fever with the weather. There have been a few heated discussions and one in particular left me with

Today’s question: ARE YOU A LIST MAKER? DO YOU MAKE A GROCERY LIST? DO YOU ACTUALLY CROSS THINGS OFF AS YOU ACCOMPLISH THEM?

I’m a total list-maker. It’s pretty pathetic actually!
I do write out a grocery list (in the order things are in the store…sometimes family members put something on the list in the wrong place and it really screws me up – LOL).

I have post-it notes everywhere, and after I finish a task, I crumple it up…it’s a good feeling!

Ooooh, I just caught sight of all of your recipes…I’ll definitely be back!

Guilty as charged. I’m a list maker, lists of thing that need tobe done in a day, groceries, what I may need to travel…when i cross things off it makes me feel more accomplished and more valuable as a Stay @ home mom.
Plus it stops my brain from working overtime by getting it down on paper…

The only list I make is the grocery list, and of course, while walking through the store, I add to the cart things that arent on the list. If I could just stick to it I’d save much more money!!

I live by list and yes, I cross them off when finished and like Sarah, I even write somethings already finished so that I can cross them off as well. I also make my list in a notebook so that at the end of the year I can look at it. 😀 Just to prove how busy I really was. LoL

Sarah

I LOVE lists! For everything. I do cross stuff off. Sometimes I even add something I have already done so I can cross it off. Just for therapy 🙂

I am both a list maker, and a list loser… I often make great lists then get in the grocery store and realize i’ve left it in the car.Fortunately just the act of making the list is often enough to get me home with the necessities, but usually I’ve forgotten one thing. This is one of the best things about having a driving teenager who loves to run errands!

I’m not a list maker. Whenever I make lists and then cross something off, my OCD wants me to make a neat, new list that doesn’t have any cross-off marks, LOL! (This is sad, but true). I am, however, a huge calendar person. I have a binder/calendar/planner that I would be lost without.

I’m a huge list maker and I LOVE crossing things off my list. I tend to make lists on scraps of paper which is bad but this last week I started using an agenda so it should help a lot.

Tara

Oh my YES I am a List Person. I make lists of my list.. thats how ridiculous I am. I have them everywhere.. on counters.. on the computer.. on the refrigerator!!! lol

I am a list maker, although I can’t always FIND my list later to check things off. Just making the list helps me remember things but, especially if it’s a “to do” list, checking them off after they’re done makes me feel as if I’ve accomplished something.

I love to make lists! I always have to have a grocery list and I stop and go through it all before i leave the store. I also make lists of things that I need to get done around the house or at work. It is so gratifying to cross things off!

Kristen

I am a total list freak. I make a grocery list that includes how many of each item I am going to buy, the price I expect to pay and if there is a coupon to go with it. I don’t cross them off as I put them in the cart, though.

I make lists of chores to do, things to pack on trips, future projects around the house, gifts to give at Christmas, things to sell on Ebay, you name it, I have made a list. And I do cross those items off.

I generally do not make lists – but I do make a grocery list. If I want to have a prayer of getting what I need at the grocery store I need my grocery list. Otherwise I do not ever make lists really.

gracefulgirl

I rarely make lists even though I probably should. It never fails that when I get home from the store I think of three more things I need… If only I had a list-lol.

Hi Tamy –
Good question. I am not a big list maker. I am a more fly-by-the-seat-of-your-pants type of person. I will make a list if I cam going to the store, but I don’t make a list everyday of things to do and then check them off. I would probably get more accomplished if I did that however…
