Aloha Friday

In Hawaii, Aloha Friday is the day they take it easy and look forward to the weekend. So I thought that on Fridays I would participate and take it easy on posting, too. Therefore, I’ll ask a simple question for you to answer. Nothing that requires a lengthy response.

If you’d like to participate, just post your own question on your blog and leave your link at An Island Life. Don’t forget to visit the other participants! It’s a great way to make new bloggy friends!

Today’s question is:
What summer home improvement projects do you have in progress?

Love your question. I can never think of something to ask for Aloha Friday, but I love visiting other’s.

We redid the landscaping in front of the house. I have painted my living room, and I’ve reorganized all of the bathroom cabinets. I’m in the process of reorganizing my closet and craft space. I also want to install a new hand towel bar underneath a cabinet in the half bath so we don’t have to put it on the wallpaper. While I have the summer off, it’s time to get these things done!

Because of the flooding earlier this year, building shelving in the basement to get our stuff up higher and away from the walls. Also making new beds for the kids is on the list.

Oh my…
I’m hemming the sheers I made for my bedroom windows, making sheers for the upstairs guestroom window, painting the upstairs guestroom, replacing the weather stripping on the front doors and the kitchen door, making new valances for the home office along with reupholstering a chair in the office. I’m reupholstering a livingroom chair and the dining room chairs. That’s not all however, I too tired to go on. I need a nap!

We don’t have any going on at the moment, but we did replace our bathroom sink, clean out our garage, clean the basement. Oh, we are going to make part of the basement into a craft room for my mom and I. But it won’t be building things.

Now that have our AC in upstairs hubby and I are hoping to transform the room into a play are for our kids. The only problem, finding time 😉

Have a great weekend!
