This excerpt (I’ll let you fill in the blanks) is from an email that crossed my SPAM file this week, but it got me thinking.

…and the major (liberal) media—are all working in overdrive to destroy and smear…

I was taught that the media’s primary responsibility was to report both sides truthfully and unbiased in order that we, the people are presented with ALL the facts in order that we can make an informed decision?
So, this weeks question is:

Do you believe that the media is unbiased
towards the candidates in the upcoming election?

good question. sadly, no. part of it is that journalists are human and their own personal feelings get in the way and the other part is the agencies themselves usually have their own agenda.

Cathi

Absolutely not. Charles Gibson was very smarmy and condescending with he interviewed Sarah Palin last night.
The media has the power to put whom they desire into any elected office by what they choose to report.

Tara

goodness NO! I mean you have most of them that lean towards a certain way.. One that leans towards another but tries to be fair lol It’s a circus!

I believe that very few in the media are good enough at their job to make themselves truly unbiased. The nice thing is that a lot of people are able to see through it. Unfortunately others do not and that is quite dangerous.

Have a nice weekend.
