This list is of things that looking in retrospect should have been given to charity and purchased new on this end of our major cross country move for this investment house. Unless you are 100% attached to an item – get rid of it!

- Entertainment center
- Microwave
- Books, books and more books
- Office Chair

Hi, Tamy.
The de-cluttering encouragement is great, but . . . I just have to keep the books and the paintings!
Happy Thursday 13. 🙂
My brother-in-law and his family have moved across the country twice and to and from Hawaii once. They learned VERY quickly to sell everything before each move. I keep saying I’m getting rid of our piano before we move anywhere, even across the street–I hate hills and stairs! 🙂
Number 5 and number 13, the books and paintings would move with me anywhere I go. To many of them are autographed and to many of the paintings are orginals. That being said I’ve bought a house and am never moving again…
Happy TT
Mine’s up as well at http://betweentheticks.blogspot.com
You know I understand some of those things….I hope should you ever move you hire movers than 😉
I know that will be my plan when we move from here eventually.
Happy Thursday!
Hope you’ll check out my TTs,
My Before 50 Bucket List & Great Picture Books
Not even your Tupperware? It’s so light and most of it can stack into each other.
I hate moving! I dread the day that my step-daughters and son will have to pack up their rooms because they have so much clutter(and I’m sure I’ll have to help them). I’ve been decluttering a lot of my own stuff since last month. It doesn’t pay to be a pack rat.
I hate moving my washer, dryer, stove, fridge and big freezer! They are way too heavy but needed.
i like the idea of throwing something out each day.
Good list! We moved in 2006 & the hardest part was finding all kinds of crap we didn’t even know we had. We had 3 piles; to keep, to donate, to throw away. Do I even have to tell you which 2 piles kept growing & growing?
I’m terrified at the thought of moving. We have TOO MUCH JUNK!!!
Tamy – I read unclutterer.com every day and have been slowly decluttering for a few years now.
A friend and I often start a phone conversation with – What did you throw out today?
My goodness it’s a slow and ongoing process. 🙂
