I should make this for my daughter, she’s not a tuna fan. Sometimes you just have to give in and use those cans like the French Fried Onions. Off subject a litte … but after hurricane season we have to start using up all those canned goods that we didn’t have to use, and then start all over again next year!
I love tuna noodle casserole, this sounds great. It’s those french fried onion thingys that have me intrigued!! 🙂
Well Stephen, that the can was on the pantry shelf from Thanksgiving and that despite the fact that I make everything from scratch every now and then I listen to my family and give in to their whims for comfort food and they loved the recipe. As for the picture, I guess it’s all relative. Someone else may find a plate full of sausages unattractive. This recipe though was full of flavor, texture and delicious too.
The photo is not particularly attractive, but where I really have to draw the line is at the canned onion rings. What can you be thinking?
The chiles, onion rings and a flavored rotisserie chicken turn this ordinary casserole into something really wonderful!
What a wonderful example of pure comfort food! This sounds delicious….with the chicken…not the tuna. My family don’t mind tuna casserole; but, it’s one of the few things that I’ve never liked. I love the addition of green chili to this dish and french fried onion rings make everything better. I could eat the whole can by itself. 🙂
