I originally posted this recipe here, but the topic has come up again and I’m reusing it since I only have one we like to use.
SCRUMPTIOUS CHILI
3 pounds hamburger
2 large white onions, chopped
2 cans diced tomatoes
2 cans Rotel original tomatoes
2 – 4 oz. cans diced green chiles
3 cups V-8 juice
4 cups beef broth
2 tablespoons ground cumin
2 tablespoons Hungarian paprika
1 tablespoon sea salt
1 tablespoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
3 teaspoons jar garlic or 3 cloves fresh
- In a large stock pot, brown the hamburger and onion together.
- Drain the fat off.
- Mix in all the other ingredients.
- Bring to a boil.
- Turn down to a low simmer for 3-4 hours.
- After dinner separate the remaining chili into 4 freezer containers, label and freeze for future meals.

The chili recipe sounds yummy. I probably would leave out the cayenne pepper.
Great, I’ll try this variation. But I won’t freeze it, as I think this will all be gone at once. LOL!
Enjoy my entry and have a great sunday!

Hi! This sounds great. I like the sound of the green chiles!
p.s. Do you have any ideas, suggestions, or wishes for future themes? Just let me know! 🙂
Sounds delicious. I usually make the chili recipe on the back of the McCormick chili seasoning packet and people at work want the recipe-lol! I think I will try the V-8 Juice next time: maybe the spicy one-hehe!
Again~thanks so much for participating weekly! You’re the best!

Your feeds are working again. 🙂 Yay! The chili sounds yum… I haven’t had any in a while… I’ll have to keep that in mind for the menu on Monday!
