I think I’m going to drop book club. The women in this club other than one friend are into some really deep dark things that just don’t interest me. I’m starting a new book today that is going to be a fun read I think.Ā  A NOT-SO SHOCKING MURDER by Lily Stirling.

I went to the local quilt show last Friday. The show was a bit smaller this year, but I still found some quilts that inspired me.

My favorite is the Christmas tree quilt and I like the one with the working boots. Hope dropping that book club will bring you peace… it seemed quite ‘special’… I would’ve loved the Rose code, does seem interesting, will add it to my reading list. Have a great week

QuiltLady

Those are great quilts – the laces on the boots were so special! I LOVE historical WWII women empowerment stories and The Rose Code is right up there on great stories! If you’ve never read her, Gill Paul is a great writer also, The Lost Daughter is one of my favorites. Have a GREAT week.

Hey – I love the idea of a book club too! Count me in, lol. Those quilts are amazing! I don’t think that I can pick a favorite.

I love the “feral housewife” meme! Ha! That’s great.

Enjoy your week!

QuiltLady

I think we’re creating an idea here with a book club – YAY makes me happy! The feral housewife really spoke to me also šŸ™‚ Have a great week.

Hello my Lovely!
I hope your crazy weeks slow down. And that you get some good YOU time.
It sounds like dropping the book club was a good idea. It would be so fun if our little blog community could do a book club together.
I love all of your inspirationals – always so colorful, uplifting and fun here. I especially giggled at the housewife one.
I hope you have a very peaceful blessed week ahead (or at least moments )
xoxo

QuiltLady

Thank you my dear. Should know more tomorrow about how things will play out šŸ™

I do LOVE the idea of a blog buddy book club!!! One of the women (the most abrasive one) in the book club I just dropped was pushing books with serious horrible disclaimers! I just couldn’t anymore!! PLUS she was bad mouthing the books I suggested (books like THE ROSE CODE about female code breakers in WWII) when I wasn’t there to defend them. I hadn’t actually read in a month because I hated the idea of even picking up one of those books. I finally picked up a new book last night and fell back in love with reading. šŸ™‚

Staying positive is my thing! Have a great, blessed week sweet lady!
