It’s almost Turkey day!!

I’m doing my shopping this week to avoid the crowds. I found everything I needed from yams and pumpkin pies to wheat thins and bread for turkey sandwiches the next day to prepare a terrific feast for my family easily and most of it was on sale. Using your club card will increase your savings even more.One of the most amazing items they have is the recipe for their
2-Hour Turkey. It is a very simple recipe with excellent results. The whole crowd will think you spent the entire day in the kitchen!You will also find some wonderful decorating ideas.

Spooky Witch Hands – Monday Munchies
This spooky witch hands were so easy that I can’t even call it a recipe. They are simply Pillsbury bread sticks – unrolled, sliced in half and then formed into long finger shapes (keeping every 5th one a little shorter and fatter for the thumbs), add sliced almonds for the fingernails and bake for 15 minutes at 375. Serve them with some marinara for dipping for a snack, use them on your Halloween party buffet, or serve in bowls of chili or spaghetti for a perfectly spooky meal!
Cararmel Popcorn, Carrot Cheese Balls
4 tablespoons butter, plus more for baking sheet
10 cups plain unsalted popped popcorn
1 cup cashews or peanuts, coarsely chopped (optional)
1/2 cup packed light-brown sugar
1/4 teaspoon Coarse Salt
- Preheat oven to 300 degrees.
- Butter a large baking sheet.
- Place popcorn in a large bowl.
- Add cashes to bowl and toss to combine. Set aside.
- In a small saucepan, bring butter, sugar, 1/4 teaspoon salt, and 2 tablespoons water to a boil, stirring constantly.
- Working VERY quickly, drizzle popcorn with sugar syrup, and toss.
- Spread popcorn evenly on prepared baking sheet.
- Bake, tossing occasionally, until golden and shiny, about 40 minutes.
- Transfer hot popcorn to a parchment-paper-lined baking sheet; let cool.
- Store in airtight container up to 1 week.
CARROT CHEESE BALLS
8 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 ounces yellow cheddar cheese, finely grated (2 cups loosely packed)
1 cup finely grated carrots
- In a medium bowl combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, and carrot.
- With moistened hands, gently form about 24 balls.
- Serve or refrigerate, covered with plastic wrap, up to 2 days.
