I know it’s HOT everywhere so I won’t complain! All I can say is that I don’t usually mind the heat as much here because the humidity is so low, but lately our humidity has been quite high – might as well as be in the south high. This week we’ll continue with temperatures in the 90’s during the day. Our saving grace is that we’re still cooling down quite a bit at night into the 50’s so we have absolutely beautiful mornings!
Do you realize we are significantly into the second half of the year? I went to the Hallmark Ornament Premiere this past weekend to pick up a few ornaments (NOT that I needed any), but there were a couple this year that called out to me 😀 I also picked up a couple Christmas presents this past weekend.
This is a super early morning so just a couple sips of coffee for now.

The Eagles Auxiliary did a breakfast yesterday morning as part of the 1st Annual BBQ Competition and Corn Hole tournament. The event was a HUGE boon to our little town and I’m sure it will be back next year and many more to come. They even auctioned off some awesome granite corn hole boards – I never knew it was such a serious sport. Here’s a couple pictures:

Oh no, sorry you are in the middle of all the heat as well. The granite cornhole set looks neat, I’ve never played it but do know it’s a big thing especially, maybe in the camping club circles (at least around here). I was intrigued by some of those ornaments but didn’t make it to the premier thing. Hope you have a wonderful week dreaming of cooler weather and all things holiday.
Despite the predictions today was absolutely beautiful except for the very late afternoon. I only bought 7 Hallmark ornaments myself this year. I didn’t need any, but there are a couple I do every year for a series. Hope your week is great too. 😀

I’m so sorry the heat continues! Ugh!! My arthritis would be screaming with that kind of humidity. I hope you’re being good about taking care of yourself. You work so hard Lady – time to take a rest for YOU! I’m so glad your event was such a wonderful success though. It looked so cool! I know some folks that are huge cornhole lovers up here too. I’ve never seen a granite set, though – wowzers!! Lol

The granite set auction for over $1000 and the proceeds from the whole event went to local kids for scholarships. 😀 We will be taking a long trip for a mini reunion in October and I’m really looking forward to that! I hope you have a GREAT week.
